Amagah!

I'm somewhat confident that I have, hands down, the most depressing blog updates out of anyone I know. Well, maybe not. However, my posts usually are not what one would consider cheerful. So it's way past my bed time (work tomorrow) but I had the urge to write something. My better half decided today to send me some text messages with regards to dwarfs. I don't know what it is about the beginning of the show "Little People, Big World" but it cracks me up. I also decided to look through old pictures that a special someone sent me and I really wish that circumstances would have been different (i.e., there would have been no need to send me pictures of your change from Loretta to Troy because I would've been there). The above named events spurred more thoughts of home and the lady waiting for me there. I started to think about my past trip home, which involved small things like taking Rhianna to get her 'army card' and watching CSI on the couch.

Today I watched a show I enjoy very much called "Chuck". The newest episode had a guy that was released from prison. So and so events occur, etc, but one of the characters said something to the effect of how simple things are taken for granted by people that experience them all the time. Being able to have dinner every night with the one you love, sleeping with a space heater and waking up to a cute kitten wanting attention are just a few of the things that I dream about being able to live again. 1 year, 11 months 1 day, 1 hour, 28 minutes and 30 seconds (not that I'm counting) until I can move on to the better part of my life.

I love you Rhianna Brooke Fair, I cannot wait to be home with you again, and in a couple years, forever.

The picture thing.

I know the rules state that you must pick like your 4th folder of pictures, but I only have 1 folder. I picked the 4th picture, and here it is. I only have pictures of my wife on my computer, so it doesnt matter which one I picked it would be of her. I do remember when I first saw this, it was the first picture I showed a bunch of my military friends since they kept bugging me to see what (at the time) my girlfriend looked like. They were impressed.

The field.

That is where I'm headed tomorrow. I won't have any contact with the outside world (a much needed break). Will be reading and playing Army. Already glad to get away.

Lucky

I learned how to tell stories tonight from the most beautiful woman in the world. I just felt like making a post to let everyone know how lucky I am, and I'm feeling pretty good with how I think my future will turn out. I have the perfect wife/best friend. I love you RBF!

Back in El Paso....

Something scary happened while I was back in Kentucky: I started to refer to El Paso, TX as 'home'. This place is not my home. My home is where my wife is. I hated every time someone would ask for something, I would respond with "When I get back home..." or "Back home...". I just wanted to make it official, that regardless of what I say, my home is wherever Rhianna Brooke Fair resides.

Also, fuck this place.

Anyway, I thought I would tell you about my trip HOME!

I flew in on Saturday night to see my beautiful (at the time) Fiancee. We then went to visit two great young men and wish them a good birthday. The next morning, Rhianna and I started our trip to Asheville, NC. We checked in to a nice hotel and relaxed for a bit before deciding to go to a near by restaurant for drinks and dinner.

The next morning (Monday) we woke up and went to get MARRIED. It was a nice little adventure that required me to go ask two nice ladies to witness for us (which was akward for me since I don't much care for strangers). It was a short ceremony and I got a totally bitchin' ring. We then went to Biltemore. We got there and had to stand outside in the cold for fucking ever (and it was holy shit cold). I shielded my new bride from the wind, or attempted to. When we finally got inside we saw beautiful trees in every room and saw all kinds of great things, not to forget the Bachelors Wing (which probably pulled a ton of ass from the servents quarters/area right below it). We left Biltmore and went to the best looking McDonalds that I believe that I've ever encountered, we got sundaes and french fries. On the way home, my wife and I thought, "Lets get some booze and have drunken newly wed sex." Unbeknownst to us, this would be a daunting task. We drove around for ages, visiting different cities and towns in NC looking for some decent goddamn beer, and ended up finding some right across the street from our hotel. Unfortunately, this was the time I discovered that I was amagah sick, so we also got me some cold meds.

The next day we drove home, which was somewhat uneventful, but a nice trip. On Wednesday, the 24th (Christmas Eve) we got all dolled up for visits with the Fam. Christmas day I don't think we did a whole lot, I can't remember some of the things because I spent the majority of the trip feeling really ill. I do, however, remember Friday, Dec 26th: I got together with all of my friends and dad at Hooters and did some drinking before moving the party over to my brothers apartment where I proceded to shred on guitar hero.

Saturday, I do not really remember at all, though I'm sure something fun happened. Oh, maybe we went to see Valkyre? I don't remember which day but it was a damn good movie. Sunday Rhianna and I went up to Cincy to visit more of her fam, including her Aunt (which, btw world, is still awesome). Rhianna's mom threw me to the sharks right away by showing her grandfather a picture of my in uniform, but it worked out ok. Rhianna's uncle was very helpful by reminding me either A) My drink was empty and I needed a new one, or B) I should hurry and finish what I'm drinking so I can get started on another one. Pete is a nice man (Rhianna's cousin), and her extended Cincy fam got us a nice cake (which despite hating raspberry, I did enjoy). We went home and relaxed for the evening.

Monday the 29th, Rhianna had to work which was a bummer, but it was great when she finally came home. I cleaned a lot because I wanted her to love me so much. On Tuesday, the 30th we spent the day getting my beautiful bride her 'Army Card' and trying to get her set up for TRICARE. I went and hung out with my mom for a while and visited Aaron (since he was sick) before I picked her back up from work in the afternoon.

New Years Eve was a blast, atleast for me. I mean I was hella sick, but I got to do what I love to do: Nothing. I know that sounds lame, but I get tired of constantly doing things when I am home. Really, the only thing I like to do is spend time with Rhianna alone, having her all to myself. We watched CSI: Vegas (all other CSI can die in a fire) and drank before switching to Phantom of the Opera.

Jan 1st, New Years Day was good. We went and ate at Dennys (Rhianna got blueberry french toast ( no whip cream next time lover), and I got everything). We dicked around for a while, went to see my parents and such and ended the evening by going out and visiting my parents property (I was secretly dying for Rhianna and I to have a place of our own, I cannot wait).

Jan 2nd I went to say good bye to everyone before my gorgeous bride dropped me off at the Lexington Airport, bidding me a teary farewell. Everything past that point is irrelevant.

That was my trip home, and it was by far one of the best. I am very happily married and I would not trade it for anything in the world. Two more years Rhianna Brooke, and you don't ever have to share me with the Army again. I love you my darling girl!
